About Ruben

Ruben F. G. was born in Havana, Cuba in 1976. Already as a child, he discovered his love for dancing and worked for numerous dance shows in his hometown during his school years. In 2003 he completed the dance instructor training in Havana, specializing in Cuban dances such as rumba, son, mambo, cha-cha and of course salsa. After completing his dance training, he worked as a dancing coach in Havana.

After his arrival in Austria he couldn't let go his passion for dancing, and so Ruben started to teach salsa at Habana Club and participated in dance shows. Among other things, he also performed in the final event of the Ironman in Klagenfurt. Since 2012 Ruben teaches dance in Floridita and Elysium in Vienna.

2013, he completed his training as a Zumba Instructor.

Ruben also imparted his skills in other European countries. He gave dance lessons, made dancing shows and dance animations as well as Zumba Master Classes in Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Spain.

During his long career as a dance instructor in Cuba and Austria Ruben developed his own method of teaching salsa. It is particularly distinguished by its logical structure, the interaction between head and body, the comprehension of musical structures and its rhythms, as well as the pure delight for dance and movement. It allows dance students to apply the learned dance steps and techniques in a very short time and to develop their personal dancing style. The main focus is on rhythm, enjoying the dance, liveliness as well as playful learning - completely in accordance to the spirit of the Cuban dance philosophy.
